My Little Story

I've got a little story for you
Your heart is gonna wanna hear, too
One boy, one girl
Don't just happen into
Happy ever after

The story begins a day
With the sunlight on her face
Nothing can keep her down
'Cause she's got God beside her

Enter then the boy
With a love for love itself
Nothing can hold him back
'Cause he's so dead-set on her

They fall in love
Or so she thinks
And then... he... leaves

He never meant to pull her in
He never meant to break her heart
It wasn't supposed to be like this
But it's not his fault she fell so hard

Part two's the worst, I fear
'Cause the words she hates to hear
Have to leave her lips
Because he thinks he loves her

"This can't end badly - PLEASE!
No! It just happened to me,"
She cried out to her God
Because she knew He'd help her

In her mind
In her heart
She's so... torn... up

She never meant to pull him in
